Have you filled up your diesel car with petrol or vice versa?
Many people have been in a similar situation: stressed and distracted, it's easy to fill up the wrong fuel for a rental car, for example.
If this happens, the main rule is the same whether you put petrol in a diesel car or diesel in a petrol car: don't start the car.
Do this:

Switch off the engine if you have already started it.

If necessary, ask for help to push the car away from the pump.

If the wrong fuel has been filled into your car, there are several options to deal with the situation. If possible, we will empty the tank on site while you wait or transport your car to a garage.

Most people only realize they have filled up incorrectly when standing with a petrol or diesel pump in their hand. In such a situation, Viking can often help quickly and easily by draining the tank on site.*

Transport to the workshop
If it is not safe to continue driving, we will tow you to the workshop.
If you have been driving a diesel car with petrol in it, you will quickly notice that the diesel engine loses power, makes a noise and suddenly stops. By then, the damage has usually already been done and the car needs to be towed to a garage
